The past year showed record by defaults of corporate bonds
Credit-Rating agency, which is engaged with assigning ratings to debt securities,
has recorded 51 cases in which issuers of interest-bearing and housing bonds failed to
meet their obligations for the total amount of UAH2.9bn. Sergey Fursa, an analyst from
Astrum Investment Management has told «k:» that "by our assessemnts, over 90% of
securities issued by non-financial companies were restructured in 2009". According to
Andrey Gerus, an analyst from Concorde Capital, the amount of late-met obligations
exceeded UAH5bn.
