“uaA+” credit rating assigned to JSB BrokBiznesBank
Today independent rating agency Credit-Rating announced the granting of a long-term credit rating uaA + according to Ukrainian national scale to JSB Brokbiznesbank (Kyiv). The rating forecast is stable.
Factors supporting the credit rating's level :
- JSB Brokbiznesbank is one of the top ten banks by its assets volume and one of the top 15 by its resource base and payment system development, is among leaders in transactions with bank metals;
- Well-balanced development of JSB Brokbiznesbank: assets volume grew by 4.52 times to UAH 4.79 billion over the period of 2001 2 first months 2006; proportional growth of basic kinds of assets and liabilities;
- The bank has a large number of clients among large private and state corporations (almost 10.5 thousand clients legal entities, intensive cooperation with financial organizations and state bodies), which enhances stability and predictability of its deposit base;
- Over the pat 2 years the bank successfully diversified its strategy and developed its retail business;
- Good quality showings of credit portfolio: as of 03.01.2006 the share of overdue and doubtful debt in credit and investment portfolio of JSB Brokbiznesbank is 1.6%.
Factors restricting the credit rating's level :
- Low earning yield of the banks main activity within few last years which requires constant marginal analysis of expansion of assets and liabilities transactions;
- Supply of assets transactions and credit risks with the banks owned capital over few past years was somewhat lower than average in Ukrainian banks but at the acceptable level though;
- Further expansion and intensification of the banks retail business and growing competition in this market segment might require additional expenses from the bank and have a negative impact on its efficiency showings.
