uaAA- credit rating assigned to Bank Aval
Today independent rating agency Credit-Rating announced the granting of a long-term uaAA- credit rating to JSPPB Aval (Kyiv).
Factors supporting the credit rating's level:
- JSPPB Aval is one of the leading banks of Ukraine, taking 1-2 places among banks in the basic performance;
- oct. 2005 JSPPB Aval merged with Raiffeisen Group which provides it with access to up-to-date bank products and management techniques, and allows raising cheap funds from the Group and international organizations, balancing the terms of attraction and offering of funds and getting support from the parent company in case of necessity;
- the bank has the second largest territorial infrastructure in Ukraine and a well-developed electronic funds transfer and the well-known brand name enhanced by Raiffeisen brand.
Factors restricting the credit rating's level:
- low earning yield from the banks main activity in the recent years which requires constant margin analysis of expansion of credit and debit operations;
- owing to the recent change of owner, the bank is undergoing significant changes in its business and organizational structure;
- supply of credit operations and credit risks with the banks capital was lower than the average in Ukrainian banks yet remained on acceptable level in the recent years.
