uaBB+ credit rating assigned to upcoming bond issue of Metropoliya – Securities Ltd
Today independent rating agency announced the granting of a long-term uaBB+ credit rating to the scheduled registered interest-bearing bond issue by Metropoliya-Securities Ltd (Kyiv) in the amount of UAH 5 million with a circulation period of 3 years. The company’s main activity is issuance and commission and commercial operations with securities.
Factors supporting the credit rating’s level:
- Metropoliya-Securities Ltd is a professional adviser in Ukrainian financial market and a securities trader, and operating center of financial company group including securities traders, insurance companies, assets management companies and other co-investment institutions owned by interrelated entities;
- Qualified company management with large positive working experience in Ukrainian financial market;
- Intensive growth of volumes of main activity of Metropoliya-Securities Ltd over the period of its activity in Ukrainian financial market: turnover of operations grew from UAH 278 thousand in 2003 to UAH 357 045 thousand in 2005;
- The issuer takes leading places as a securities trader according to PFTS ranking: as of March 2006 – 7 place.
Factors restricting the credit rating’s level:
- Heightened risks with operation in securities market, which is insufficiently legally regulated and subject to changes, and where a great part of transactions are of non-market character;
- The Issuer’s risks are interrelated with the risks of the company group, of which he is a member; financial resources inside the group could be redistributed without consideration of the Issuer’s interests.
