Master-Class: What Is the Difference between Ratings and Rankings
There has been held a master-class for journalists and all interested persons, at which the difference between ratings and rankings was discussed. The master-class was conducted by Stanislav Dubko, a Credit-Rating CEO and Igor Lyashenko, President of Gorizont-Media.
It was noted that both rankings and ratings are important for the market. Though in order to make right decisions it is necessary to realize difference between these two types of products. A credit rating is based upon complex economic and mathematical models, and a ranking is a gradation of companies (or other entities assessed) by certain indicators, which are often of formal nature.
